Can I order my own genetic test?

Testing can only be requested by a clinical geneticist or relevant specialist clinician and requires completion of a test request form. RGT does not provide direct to consumer genetic testing.

 

Do results get uploaded to the My Health Record?

Currently results for clinical genomic sequencing test are not uploaded to the My Health Record.

         

When will I receive my results?

The current turnaround time for exome sequencing is 4 - 6 months. 

 

Can I get a copy of my results from RGT?

RGT is unable to give results directly to patients. All results are delivered to the doctor who ordered the test. Speak to your doctor if you'd like a copy.

 

Billing and invoicing

Invoices will be sent via email and can be paid via PayPal or Debit/Credit Card. Please note: Testing will proceed after payment has been received.

Medicare rebates and concessions currently do not apply.
